The Charlie Manning Scholarship

The Charlie Manning Scholarship is established in honor of a man whose life was defined by dedication to learning, problem-solving, and service. Charlie was a lifelong educator, beginning his career teaching math, chemistry, and physics before dedicating 26 years to Delco Electronics in Kokomo. He was known for his positive attitude, his desire to "help think through a problem to reach a solution," and his commitment to touching lives.

This scholarship is a tribute to his legacy and is available to all IU Indianapolis employees and/or dependents of employees within the Division of Finance and Administration. 

Requirements:

  • Awardees must be enrolled as a student in courses for credit at Indiana University Indianapolis (inclusive of Fort Wayne and Columbus)
  • Employee must complete the application form, including an impact statement (less than 1 page)

Application Deadline for Fall/Spring 2026/2027 – 6/30/2026
